Ingredients:
Water 42g or 1 1/2oz
Sugar 140g /5 oz
Egg 1
Oil 2 tbsp
Plain flour 280g / 10oz
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Bicarbonate soda 1/2 tsp
Seasame seed 1/2 cup
Methods :
Wash, drain and dry Seasame seeds. Set aside and ready to use later.
Boil water and sugar together, stir until sugar dissolved.
Sift flour, baking powder and Bicarbonate soda onto a big bowl, make a well in the centre, beat egg with oil then put the solution in the centre,.
Slowly draw in flour, use hand to form a soft dough.
Divide into 32 equal portions or more if you want a smaller size.
Shape into balls.
Rolls small balls onto washed sesame seeds to coat evenly.
Heat a big pot of oil to just boil, switch off the heat, place cookies in oil until you see a crack is formed on each cookies, put the heat back on, deep fry till golden brown.
Remove and drain, after cooled completely.
Can keep in jar for one month.
