Ingredients:
500g mince beef or pork
2 medium potatoes, dice into 1cm (1/2 in ) cubes
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Method:
Fry diced potatoes in oil until golden brown, drain and set aside.
Heat a little oil in high heat add minced meat to the pan with a pinch of salt and press constantly
to break meat down. the meat should be dry, when it's done take out set aside.
using the same pan heat a little oil add onion and garlic, saute until onion is soft and golden.
Put minced meat to the pan saute well with onion , add pepper, Worcestershire sauce and dark soy sauce just give the meat a little colour.
Add potatoes, mix well and serve.
Best serve with fried egg and plain rice.
* Every Macanese family have their own version of Minchi, my family like it dry and more potatoes than meat, so I would put 2 large potatoes instead of medium . *
